South Chatham Tackle has collaborated with some of the East Coast’s most avid surf fishermen to create this design. The upper rod corral is made of an indestructible plastic known as UHMW. It is soft and flexible, eliminating the chance of rod damage from powerful strikes. The corral design will hold the rod in place in the strongest NE wind. The rod holder cup is a 2” tube with a stainless steel eyebolt that is through-bolted in 1 of 8 position holes. Cup positioning allows for rod handles from 14 inches to 32+ inches. A towel or lanyard with a float can be attached to the eyebolt. Streamlined profile makes this a winner with tournament fishermen. Our sand spike stores easily.
The Spike is constructed from 1.5 inch x 3/16th inch x 5 feet long aluminum angle. Corrosion is not an issue with our Type III Hard Coat Anodizing finish, making this the last Sand Spike you will ever buy.
